Atrangis : Trip To Uttar kannada

It's starting from where we Celebrate Happywala birthday of kadambari and My at Marines Drive with besties in April. Wow..!! what a celebration . Great get together .We all blast that night and craziness are overloaded upon the sky limit. We still have a hangover of last night in mind next day Sagar posted a message in a group . Jog waterfall in July ??? No doubt i was to say YES first. Cause I had a bad experience of previous Goa plan that did not executed and all blames to come me. Surprisingly except of few Atrangis (as our group name) All are excited to join this plan. So now study is started of the plan. Sagar and we search nearby places of jog waterfall to visit i.e Murudeshwar temple. Later we added visit Gokarna Temple/beach and Mirjan Fort in the plan list but as per weather condition and time availability. So our Jog waterfall Trek become utter Kannada trip. So plan is set Including date and train reservation availability is in mind. Cause trains are most comfortable mode of transport in all views provided prior reservation is there. So we did not take a long time for book a seat of nine Atrangis.

From their, we did a lot of discussion and chats about this trip each day. All Plan are very well compiled by Harish and Vidnyan including Stay and Local Transport. As plan is ahead of three months to go ,So in between Before arriving of monsoon, We did Nakhind trek together which placed at vangani. After that Everyone did 2-3 individually monsoon treks in sahyadri. However we are waiting for a big D Day (July 22nd) from long time. As everyone was Excited as date close to the journey. A Lot of discussions started about trip from what things to carry including Camera equipments as we have good photographer in a list.

Finally Day came , the most awaited trek of the Season ,Everyone left offices earlier than regular time , some take leave. The meeting point is thane at 7.30 pm for central people. One by one gather together at Thane except Priyanka and Shruti . Both are directly meet us at panvel junction. The excitement of the trek started from their , cause as usual it happened on every trek Dr.Tapase late comer joined us at 8.15Pm. Somehow we caught that train few seconds before it starts and avoids DDLJ scene. We all reached and gathered at panvel railway station at around 9.35 pm .Then we all boarded in Train (Nagercoil Express)for murudeshwar At 10.15 Pm.

Now the actually journey was begun to trip with adjustment for occupying seats in train. Now the Time for fun begin. Its time for the much awaited Birthday celebration of Kaustubh and Laxmi. Shruti buys us sweet-yummy chock-late cake. After finishing the cake, we ate tasty Chinese for dinner treat that Laxmi brought for us. So nobody will sleep with empty stomach. After a while ,We settled down and started chit-chat session about their trek experiences as we are met such long time as together. We can't control laughs when Shruti share his experience about one trek. That one word is highlighted throughout the trek. The train passenger are just wondering where the hell those are coming . Since we are doing an activity that match of name Atrangis. We went to sleep one by one around 1 am. So as fellow passengers. HA ha ha ha ..!!

Good Morning..!! I woke up early at 7 am and Just Look outside. Wow, what a lovely morning was that. Weather is so much fantastic. Its Heaven Outside ..!! Rain is continuously drizzling outside. Train moves forward passing through series of greenery landscapes. Fog is surrounded by precarious curves of the Mountains. Fresh cool Air are giggling through window and Door. You have to Close your eyes, turn your face into the wind, feel your senses and just Listen tune of wind. No Doubt it is most scenic railway route in India (Maharashtra-Goa-Karnataka).

One by one Everyone is woken and freshen up. We take breakfast and tea with biscuits as an acceptable choice. Until then Train is reached to Madgaon around 9:30 am and take 30 min halt. We had some photo session break there. After that, We settled down together as much half of the bogie is empty. Now the real fun is started . It is time now to play famous dumb charades game. Group is divided in two slot. However it doesn't seem to be going too well, it seems like a total one side game as film Names coming out of the every dirty mind of Atrangis. So we decided better to play together as team rather than dividend as few of us very expert on it. Films names and characters name that we have to play or challenge opponent it is difficult to be mentioned here. Believe me you all never ever see or heard of that name of film in life same as us. After that craziness session, we had lunch and waited for our destination. Finally, after 15 hours tired train journey, We get down at Murudeshwar station around 1:20 PM. We already hired four wheelers (Tavera) to drop us hotel and for next journey. We reached Hotel (which is near to Murudeshwar Temple) in 15 minutes, freshen up and came down in 30-40 minutes On the way journey to Jog Waterfall.

The weather was so cool. Road was quite good and smooth. Journey to Jog waterfall en route of NH66 and NH 69 through dense jungle. So Visibility is very low even it is afternoon. Miles of greenery, very less traffic and oxygen filled air, soothing to body, mind and soul. That enough for us boost up. The journey is always incomplete without Atakashari. We started singing songs and we witness voice of some talented fans of Atif, Arjit . Finally, we reached we parked the vehicle and move out. We are run straightforward to viewpoint of Jog waterfall. Around over 1000k crowd was that time. It was raining heavily, however, the presence of tourists had made the place lively. We disappointed the entire valley was covered with thick fog and mist and the visibility was very very poor. So we have to wait for fog disappear. Our patience paid dividends and nature unfolded its beauty in front of us. We Capture a glimpse of heaven moments in eyes. Breaking the monotony of the greenery on the vast landscape are the two sleek, but really long waterfalls that flow down the hill into the valley. Two waterfalls, probably seasonal are adjacent to each hand and come down along the slopes of the hill a midst the forest. Its milky white waters make it distinctly visible even from a distance. We spend good times there capturing moments in Camera. Rain continues drizzling and fog is also playing pop-up game with us. We spend well 1:30 Hour there. Its started getting Dark Now. We all are now so much hungry. We had heavy evening snacks at local. It was time for us to move on, 6:15 Pm in clock, we decided to skipped laser show of jog waterfall and start return journey to Murudeshwar .

The Half of return journey is well. As we enter a ghat section. Our buddy Science (Vidnyan) and me started feeling giddy. This because of due to hectic scheduled and we are traveling so much last 25 hours. We take 3-4 halts. Lots of advice are bang on from all members. Finally, Dr. Tapas came in action. He noticed that vidnyan pulse rate is very low that time. We take good 30 min break to rest. Once vidnyan feeling little easy. We Move on to a remaining journey. We reached hotel around 10:15 pm. We freshen up and had dinner. Then, we went to sleep as tomorrow also a long day for us.

Good morning. We woke up around 7 am, getting freshen up one by one. We all in a Temple around 8:40 am. At the Entrance Two life-size elephants in concrete stand guard at the steps leading to it. We entered in high entrance gate (Gopura) built in Dravidian style temple. There is a beautiful temple of Lord in the name of Rameshwaram. Also, there is a galley where the legend of Murudeshwara Shiva is depicted in idols. There was not much rush and we were blessed to be very close to the Lord in Sanctum. Nearby is the sanctum of Shri Shani Dev. Then we headed towards the giant idol of Shiva. This 123 feet tall statue is the third highest of Lord Shiva in the world. We took rounds of the temple. The view is just Awesome. Murudeshwar Temple is put up in the midst of the beach and the view from the mound is a beauty. Rain made the weather pleasant, the air around smelled fresh and energetic. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Spring is in the air and love just might be in the air too! Then we had heavy breakfast together at Naveen beach restaurant. we spend some time talking, then came back again in hotel for next journey.

We had some rest, packed our bags and a within while checkout from the hotel. It's 12: 35 Pm in the clock, we are running out of time. We are now headed towards Mirjan Fort. We reached Mirjan fort around 1:45 Pm. Mirjan is a small village in Kumta. It has a historical importance fort called Mirjan Fort. This fort covers almost 10 Acres of land. This fort was built between the year 1562-1606 by Queen "Chenna Byradevi" who ruled this area during that particular period. We will get many surprises when we enter the fort. We see many deep wells, many secret doors, tunnels, watchtower, flag pole like structure. We had a great time of trip was there. We clicked a Lot of pics, Videos with unusual poses there. We spend well1:30 hour time their. It is also, the best part of the trek. It's time to move on. We had good Spicy lunch on the way. The food was wonderful, especially garlic prawns and chicken. We skipped Gokarna beach and small visit Gokarna Temple. Then, we headed towards Gokarna station as we have to catch 5 pm Matsygandha train.

We reached in Time, but as usual, due to the rainy season, Train is 1 hour delayed. Finally, we boarded in a Train around 6:00 PM for Return journey to In Mumbai. The Return journey also match up to train journey of Uttar Kannada. We had a great time of talking, a lot of unfolded stories are share. We can't control the laughs when we remind of last night Vidnyan story. No doubt it is the highlight of the trek. We played again dumb charades game for fun sometimes. Then, we had Fruits and snacks for dinner, also Tasty idly is share to us by a fellow passenger and after some time went to sleep one by one. We Reached Panvel 5:20 am in the morning. Surprisingly their we met our trek buddies (Rids and Rohit). Sagar, Shruti and Harish are got down there. We reached Thane at 6:20 am. It's time to say goodbye each other.

We went home with lifetime memories. Monsoon Trip Uttar Kannada, surely it is a lifetime experience. We explore exotic locations that leave us spellbound with its beauty.

Kudos to Atrangis ..!! This Trip will continue to mesmerize forever!!!
