Gadgada Cha Gadgadat

Sometimes when u read a book first page and U will find some twist and eagerness on every turn of page .slowly u get interested of each character on it that makes u keep stay their and curious about what next.
That something happened on Gadgada(Ghargada) fort trek. I haven't heard before much about this fort but From event Details, it looks like some adventures and fun.so I can't wait for it this expedition.
The story starts on Saturday night around 11.30 pm. As per the scheduled, we assembled at a respective spot to kick of journey. During the bus ride, we mate some fellow rangers, some new faces But all are well experienced. We did endless conservation among each other.
It took 4-5 hrs to reach our destination Gadgada Sangvi village. When we reach village it is in sleeping mode."Gadgada Sangvi” village is 18 km from Nashik which unfolds the hill
range known as Amboli. There are 3 peaks attracts our attention. The right tops ' Amboli 'on the left and Summit ' Aghori'.

And the middle peak is known as “Gadgada Fort”.We reached their early in the morning. So everyone decided better to stay in the bus for complete remaining sleep. After a 1 hr wake up call..As we overlooking each with half-open
sleepy eyes get out from the bus. Its get open wisely as we saw the sunrise from behind the mountain.

How glorious a greeting sun gives the mountains..we captured a breathtaking view of the sunrise in eyes...and then with safety equipment started the move towards our base camp.
As leaders already move earlier to make a breakfast and tea for us. And yes Maggie is back..With intro round and group PIC we started trek towards Gadgada fort.
As starting...aside right of hanuman mandir we crossed and After 10 minutes walk, we have to ascend
white rock steps. At the starting point of the steps, there is Ganapati Idol. This Rock steps path takes us to goddess Bhavani. To reach their which we have to ascend stone steps. There are steps to get to the fort from the temple.
By having the steps we suppose to reach the main entrance of the fort, but British devastated steps.so while descending rappelling is the must.
So we have to traverse temple and move ahead and we reach cleft between Gadgada fort and Amboli hill range.
We reach the spot where we have to climb. As leaders take the initiative to free climb on rock patch.
There are no proper bolts. So rope has to tie on the root of the tree branches.we have to climb on 3 patches to reach the top of the fort.
The first patch was easy to everyone as its 10 feet height. On Second patch(15 feet) we have to put more efforts to complete it.
but ones across first overhang move it can be done. Of course, we take belay for the same. Then we move towards third 20 feet rock patch
There is a proper grip on a rock so we easily climb with belay and reach the top.
At Top at the entrance, we observed damaged structure and two water tanks their. But before exploring on fort we did a variety of lunch that I never had before any trek.
after lunch, we move towards the west side of the fort. There is a group of water tank where water is available. next to this at the extreme left side of the fort we see a range of mountains hills.
Dangya pinnacle, anjneri, aundha and famous kalsubai hill range. We did photo session theirs with crazies poses and back towards our rappeling patch. one by one we rappelled 120 feet descent near at goddess temple.
Then we did descent down scary steps till Hanuman mandir and reach our base. After 1 hr we start our return journey. We had fun playing Antakshari on our way. We eat a tasty bhel and tea break near vashind due to vehicle issue
Finally reached mumbai by 9PM.
We did fun-filled moments together. It was awesome adventure trek from Vrangers. Keep rocking n keep trekking.
